About the Music and Artist:
Lady Gaga has been a huge star since her first album Fame Monster released in 2008. This album sold 15 million copies and Lady Gaga was famous. That album won two Grammy's and was nominated for 6. She has taken the digital music world by storm and won countless awards for her artistry.

What Lady Gaga is known for, other than her music, is her unique sense of style. She has worn many outfits that have turned heads including a dress made of meat. Because of the outlandish way she dresses, she has been topic of many conversations and many people did not take her seriously at first. Now, four years later, she is still on the top charts.

Critical Evaluation:
This album is a good mix of up beat songs and ballads. She has put together music in this album where the listener can hear more of her voice and less a computerized version of her. This makes the album more diverse than the first two. Lady Gaga has also added some interestingly uplifting and encouraging lyrics to this album. This could cause the listeners to regard her in a more serious manner than before. The music is very different, but it has a nice, dance quality.

Challenging Issues:
If this album were to be challenged, I would go through the selection process with the challenger as well as explain the rationale for the music. There are many good qualities in this album that could be reason to have it in a collection.

Why Listen:
In her previous albums, Lady Gaga has had some unusual songs, but this album has empowering song and lyrics. The listeners can hear her voice more and it is worth listening to.
