About Teen Vogue and Critical Evaluation:
Teen Vogue is a magazine filled with fashion. The girl who reads this magazine would be conscious about what she wears and is constantly trying keep up with the latest trends. The focus is fashion, careers, colleges and travel. There are some articles about relationships and boys but compared to other teen magazines, there  is very little of this.

The articles in Teen Vogue encourage girls to grow and change themselves. They will talk about health strategies and different eating and exercising skills. Staying up on the latest news in these areas is something very important to Teen Vogue. This magazine may have articles such as "Jeans for Every Shape" or "Fashion in China."Hair and makeup is another focus of this magazine. There are many advertisements in the magazine but they flow nicely with the layout because it is a fashion magazine.

About the Author:
Vogue started in 1892. It has been an acclaimed fashion magazine since then. It is monthly magazine. In 2001 Teen Vogue was established as a way to give teens guidance in fashion before they get to the ages appropriate for vogue. Teen Vogue comes out 10 times a year and every issue is a small magazine packed with information. Conde Nast now publishes Teen Vogue and is a huge influence in the making of the magazine.

Challenging Issues:
If this book were to be challenged, I would go through the selection process with the challenger as well as explain the rationale for the book. There are many good qualities in this book that could be reason to have it in a collection.

Why Read this:
This magazine focuses on appearances and fashion, but it does not do it in a shallow way. The articles have substance in them and encourage girls to be strong and independent.
